The Atlanta Technical College has geared up to train its students with degree, diploma and certificate programs in supply chain management, given that the city is rated among the top five cities in the US for its number of supply chain, logistical and warehousing companies.
College authorities said the management course has been introduced in response to market demand for personnel trained in supply chain management. Most supply chain management firms prefer Atlanta due to its international airport, interstate highway system and access to ports, thus making qualified supply chain personnel the need of the hour.
Think tanks from leading supply chain management and logistic majors have been roped in for an advisory board to put in place a framework of the supply chain management program which is designed to provide entry-level skills.
